Here is our Spring/Summer mantelscape. Actually, it was decorated back in March. Simple and minimal is the idea. Soft pastels with the eggshell white are welcoming and calming. Mother’s children and grandchildren are in the white photo frames. A mixture of antique crystal and modern decor makes this mantel a beautiful feature of our living room.
Good morning friends. Pictured above is our front door, original to the house that was built in 1947. The rounded architecture is reminiscent of the Roman era. This door received a new coat of paint, as well as a new brass security lock and door knob. The arched lintel area is definitely a design feature that is eye-catching. You may also notice that this blog has a new template. While the other was good, having the pages hidden behind a button that was not labeled menu was a bit confusing. So, hopefully you all will like this template and find it easier to navigate.
Happy holiday season to you all. Pictured above is our Christmas mantelscape for 2016. This is the first Christmas since the redo of this original 1947’s fireplace/mantel. Mother’s favorite flower is the poinsettia. Have you decorated for the holidays? Does your house have a mantel?
