So, how does one know that they are “old”? When the city demolishes the hospital that one was born in! Yes, our first local hospital is being demolished after 100 years of service. A new, modern and larger hospital has already opened back in December 2018. This resulted in many new medical professionals arriving in our town, which is a wonderful thing for sure. We now have many more services, including a neonatal facility. Change can be a good thing. Not only were my twin sister and I born at the older hospital, so was her husband. Their two children and my own daughter entered the world there as well. A bit if an overcast day, it was perfect for making photographs. Looking closely at the photograph, you can see the backhoe arm in motion. Not planned, but so cool.
