Good morning friends. Do you ever refinish older furniture? This is an old nightstand, a find at a local thrift store. It made the perfect gift for my great-nephew last year. He was turning five years old, and needed more storage solutions. A guy’s gotta have somewhere to keep all of those toys, right? In the before photo, see that this nightstand was a dull, fading black color. After primer, and a few coats of grey paint, voila! Modern children’s furniture usually has a chalkboard surface, so some black chalkboard paint finishes-off the top. ‘Added the cute blue plastic bin underneath for smaller toys. Since great-nephew loves dinosaurs, the little wooden one really adds some personal flair. Yes, he loves this nightstand.
